How can I get the same Header and Footer to show up on
each sheet within a worksheet without having to manually
type in on each sheet (using set-up menu)?

Thanks

Hi Scotty
first select all sheets (group them) and goto pagesetup. This way your
pagesetup is valid for all selected sheets
If you already have a definition for the first sheet (has to be the
leftmost sheet) of your book, just select all sheets, goto pagesetup
and press O.K.. this will copy the format/content of the first sheet to
all other sheets

Go to "view" on task bar, click on header/footer. From
there you type in what you what repeated. You can also
format your text in the same place. Good luck.

Just in case. To select all of the sheets, click on the left most sheet tab, hold the shift key, and click on the right most sheet tab

If you want to select specific sheets then hold the control key and click on each sheet tab

Good Luck

or just right-click on the worksheet an choose "group all sheets"

(slight rephrasing)
the shift+ can be used to add or include a sequential selection for a group
the Ctrl+ can be use to add or select an individual sheet for a group

Any changes made manually to grouped sheets are done to all of them
so be sure to ungroup sheets afterwards or risk severe damage.
The safest way to ungroup is right-click on any sheetname tab and
choose "ungroup sheets".

shortcut -
select first sheet tab, hold down control and shift and
the hold down page down until it reaches the end(no mouse
necessary, inc.)

This procedure *might* create a problem Dave, if the user wishes to copy an
existing header or footer from one sheet to other sheets in the WB.
Your "shortcut" changes the focus of the sheet grouping, which can very
easily *delete* header and footer settings on the sheet that was to be
copied *from*.

One would usually set headers and/or footers in one sheet, print it out to
check appearence, and then copy it to the balance of the sheets in the WB
The simple procedure to accomplish this copying, would be to select (group)
all the sheets, and then simply do:
<File> <PageSetUp> <OK>.
This copies *all* the PageSetUp settings from the *focused* sheet of the
grouped sheets to the rest of them.
This focused sheet can be *any* sheet in the group, and is easily identified
by the fact that the tab name is in bold.

So, if the user is satisfied with their header and/or footer design, and
then would do:
<Ctrl> <Shift> <PageDown>,
the sheets do become grouped (selected), BUT ... the focus has now moved to
the last, *unformatted* sheet, where the use of
<File> <PageSetUp> <OK>,
now copies the blank settings of this last sheet to all the other sheets,
including overwriting the header/footer formatting of the main sheet that
was just worked on and approved !!!
