Hi

For shutdown/restart problems, please have a look at MVP Jim Eshelman's web
site:

http://aumha.org/win5/a/shtdwnxp.htm
http://aumha.org/win5/a/tshoot.htm

What particular drivers? Try going into Device Manager, uninstalling those
devices from there and then rebooting. Windows should re-detect them - you
can then install the device's own drivers if needed.

The following articles by MVP Michael Stevens will help - *if need be*.

"How to Perform a Windows XP Repair Install"
http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

"Clean Install Windows XP"
