HDTV Suggestion for Vista

Vista works quite well with HDTV. (as on the HP m7760n desktop)

There is one suggestion -- Vista's MediaCenter won't let you specify
"Record in HDTV if possible". It only lets you set "Any Channel" or
"Only this Channel". There may be helpful if users can choose "HDTV
if possible" (for quality) or "SDTV if possible" (to save disk space)

Where is the Vista media center newsgroup? All the links I have ever taken
from the vista site bring me back here? Certainly when I was using the beta
versions.

I always search and use this news group for anything relating the MCE
whether it be XP or vista.

Is there in fact a vista MCE newsgroup?

There IS no such version of Vista.

There are Vista specific newsgroups:

microsoft.public.windows.vista.print_fax_scan

Several other MS newsgroups are independent of the underlying OS, so, for
example, IE7 issues whether Vista or XP go to the internet explorer
newsgroup. microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

For mediaplayer issues and mediacenter there are these newsgroups:

microsoft.public.windows.mediacenter
microsoft.public.windows.mediacenter.hometheaterpc
