HDD: "Current modes not optimal. Check settings" TIA

How would I go about checking settings?
This was from a SisSoftSandra run.
Any advice gratefully received.
 
Boot to the Bios and check the settings.

Thanks for the reply, Ron. What exactly would I be looking for in the
Bios? Sorry to sound a bit daft but what can I change to do with "HDD
current modes"? Just give me a clue and I'll go for it. :-)
