HD CheckDisk Question

How can I run chkdsk on a hard drive that has 3 partions (1 that is hidden),
if I can not access the OS. Is there any program that allows me to run a
chkdsk on the whole harddrive instead of a partion?
Can chkdsk do this?

Boot to the Recovery Console from an XP CD and run chkdsk [drive]: /p
where [drive] is the drive letter of the partition you want checked:

There are disk utilities from disk manufacturers that can do this.
