I am having trouble sending any emails. Anytime I try I get this message

The host 'POP3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly.
Account: 'Windows Mail', Server: 'POP3', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

Does anyone have any tips on what I can do?

Thanks

The error message you provided is a receive error, not a send error.
"POP3" is not a valid mail server name. You get the correct mail server
names from your email service provider. They will typically have a web
page with that information. If you need help finding that, tell us who your
email provider is.

Your ISP is not necessarily your email provider.
What is the part of your email address after the @ symbol?

I don't see a copy of your error message.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without that complete error message.

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject 'sucks',
Account: 'plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com', Server: 'plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 authentication required - for help go
to http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-11.html', Port: 465,
Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

This is the problem, can u help please

You posted the same issue under the thread "can't send message".
I responded there. Please, use only one thread per issue.

I am sorry I am new at this, just trying different things to get help

what type of internet are you using. I was using my Verizon phone and it did
the same thing, until i opened the application in VZ Manager. I sent it,
and...it seemed so simple then...(windows mail needs a lot of work... We as
consumers should say something.

If you have no clue as to what the cause of the problem is, please don't
confuse people by posting non-applicable suggestions.
