Do you have a router between the DSL modem and the computers
or do you use one of the computers as the gateway?
You may be selecting the wrong configuration in the wizard
for what you really have. You might have a DSL modem using
USB to connect to computer #1 and then be using an Ethernet
Cat5 to connect via the NIC in each computer or you could
have the DSL connecting via Ethernet and the computer
connection via CAT 5 with a cross-over cable.
Buy a router, they are not expensive and they will make
networking better, if you get a router with a print server
you can share the printer and not have to have both
computers on. The router also means both computers do not
have to be on to surf the Internet from either computer.
