having problems repairing some spybot advertisment robots

I did run spybot a couple of times and I cannot remove these four application
robots from my system. Spybot tells me the the applications are still running
and will have to restart the system to remove them. I have tried a couple pof
times and the program will not remove three robots.
I also have did a search for the files and connot find them to remove them
either. The programs or robots I am discussing are; Xuptier. /
Xupiter.orbitexplorer / TotalVelocity / Adtomi.
Is there a way to rempove these problems? Are they in hidden files and how
do i find them Please advise me on these issues.

To deal with issues caused by any sort of "adware" and/or
"spyware,"such as Gator, Comet Cursors, Smiley Central, Xupiter,
Bonzai Buddy, or KaZaA, and their remnants, that you've deliberately
(but without understanding the consequences) installed, two products
that are quite effective (at finding and removing this type of
scumware) are Ad-Aware from www.lavasoft.de and SpyBot Search &
Destroy from www.safer-networking.org/. Both have free versions.
It's even possible to use SpyBot Search & Destroy to "immunize" your
system against most future intrusions. I use both and generally
perform manual scans every week or so to clean out cookies, etc.

I've been using both Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D for a while now and they work
well.
However, I stopped using Spybot when the "download updates" feature didn't
find any updates for the last six months. All the while Ad-Award continued
updating and finding even more.

You need to update SpyBot to v1.3.

Spybot stopped updating because there is a new version
that you need to download, no updates for the older one.
be prepared to uninstall the older version.
