Having Problem w/ porn pop-ups?

My friend is having a problem w/ Internet Explorer. He is
saying that when he searches for something. Msn, google,
stuff like that, he gets pop ups of porn sites. I tried
seeing if it was a hidden running program, but I'm not
sure.

Any seggestions would be nice :)

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.
