I recently changed my mother board and had problems with my wireless
adapter working. I resolved the problem, but now when I boot the wireless
adapter has a yellow exclaimaion on it. (error code 10)
I can remove it and it then work fine if I:

right click it and click update driver. Then say install from a list or
specific location -> don't search -> pick the driver that is displayed. It
installs but there still is the yellow ! mark.
If I then repeat the same process, the mark disappears and my wireless
activates and works just fine.

What's causing this and how can I get the driver to load at boot?

Install the driver correctly. Boot with the adapter installed. In
Device Manager, uninstall the adapter. In Add/Remove programs, remove
any software related to the adapter. Shut down. Physically remove the
adapter. Find the installation CD and the user manual, or download
driver, software, and manual from the vendor site. Follow the
instructions for installing the card *exactly*.
