I have OFFICEPRO 7.0 on another computer.

I now have Windows XP with Office Basic 2003.

I want to transfer several Access databases on my old machine.

Do I need a new Access 2003 software package.

If so, which is best, the OfficePro suite, or just the Access?

What version of Access are the databases in? A2003 will open older
databases, but any version of Access older than 2000 will not be able to open
newer ones.

Access - any version back to 1.0 if you can find it - will run on your
computer in conjunction with Office 2003. Since you already have all the
other components of Office (except perhaps FrontPage), you don't need to buy
the OfficePro suite. If you have a legal copy of Access97 (I *think* that was
7.0), you could uninstall it from your old machine and install it on the new;
or purchase Access2003 as a single program.
