have logo placed on master slide allways appear ontop of inserted images

Hi

I'm building a company powerpoint template. What i want, but cannot
get, is to have our company logo appear on top of every page. However
when I place the logo as image on the master page, and set the order
to 'front', and then go back to my normal page and insert an image,
the logo is threatend as background image.

So I'm looking for a way to insert images on the normal page that
slide behind our logo. (like it were 2 layers)

PS, i assume this should also work for transarent gif's right?

PPS, other suggestions on how this is normally done are welcome, just
started using Powerpoint again, since 97 ;)
 
Everything on the template forms your "canvas". What you add in Normal view is
the paint and it covers the canvas. To keep your logo "on top" you'll need to
take it off the template and insert it on each of the slides. For any object
that you want layer "under" the logo, select the object and go to Draw > Order >
Send to back.

Hi Chris,

in our corporate PowerPoint template we have our Logo placed in a kind of
"bar" at the foot of the page. And that is taboo for all other objects. You
should allow for some free space around your logo in your master, as logos
normally don't look good if placed on images. If you need a full size image
on one or the other slide, copy it from the master and place the copy on the
image.

If the image you are inserting ist a GIF with transparent areas, or a PNG
file, which supports transparency even better, you will of course see the
logo behind the image.

If you're a beginner in PowerPoint, designing corporate templates is not an
easy task to begin with. Have a close look at templates of other companies
to get some inspiration.
