I'm trying to put about 5 or six songs on one page and I want to divide it
into two columns 3 on one side. 3 on other side I just have to be shown in
step by step directions because I don't know all of the terminolgy

No idea what you are asking. Are you doing this in a report? You would
need to tell us your database structure first. We can't see your database.

I assume you mean that you're trying to design an Access report that will
print items in snaking columns. One of the easier methods is to use the
label wizard. In there, you'll find Avery-style shipping labels that are
6/page. Use that layout and your data (song lyrics) will print in 2
columns, 6 per page.

Or (my preference), you could use MS Word to do the fancy formatting
(snaking columns, etc.) and link it to your database of songs via Word's
"Mail Merge" function. As with Ed Robichaud's suggestion, in Word you'd
probably want to start by defining Avery-style shipping labels, then
change them to suit your needs.
