My mother had an email problem that DELL walked her
through by REINSTALLING WINDOWS XP!!! Needless to say,
this was a ridicoulous solution to a simple email setting
problem. Now she is stuck with 2 verison of Windows XP,
so when she starts up, she has to select which Windows XP
to use. How can I remove the newer installation (the
older XP has all the programs/files that the house uses)?

Thanks in advance for your time!

Remove the entry in the boot.ini that points to the unwanted installation
and delete the folder that install was put into. Make sure you set the
boot.ini to point to the proper installation for booting the machine as
well.
