Has this happened to anyone else

Hi my name is David,
I just up dated my connection to highspeed and after I
did it seemed liked a good time to update Winxp Pro to sp2
no the WMI (Windows Mangement Instrument) panel seems to
be corrupted that is what a dialog window has to say and
I can't use normal startup in MSconfig, it keeps wanting
to jump to Selective startup. And a number of other
things like the restore points have been wiped clean and
if I think really hard I bet I could remember something
else. Any ideas, anybody!

Huh? A good post is more than just a bunch of words jumbled together.

I can't follow what you are trying to ask. You are dating you
highspeed connection? What did you buy it at dinner?

What is the Windows Management Instrument? How is it corrupted? What
EXACTLY is the error message?

What is "Selective" startup?

Some ideas: Use a little better grammar. Your sentences run on, have
periods where they shouldn't be and none where there should. You
don't present any good information, using non-descriptive terms as I
identified above.

Use EXACT messages that XP gives you. Right them down then type them
out here. User correct terminology (Selective startup? WMI panel?)
Paragraph breaks are good.
