Hardware Removing

I have removed a PCI card from my computer XP but I get the message install
the hardware wizard everytime I boot the computer.

any idea why is that?

What kind of PCI Card did you remove? Did you replace it with anything? If
it was a video card and it's using onboard video it could be looking for the
on board video drivers. It could also just be finding something totally
unrelated to the card you removed. It could be seeing a plug and play
monitor or a printer or something. Let us know what you removed and if it
says so what its wanting you to load the drivers for.

Joe,

It was NIC card. After booting the computer it prompts to install the driver
rather than the hardware as I mistakenly said it was hardware.
