Hardware not found

I completed a clean install of XP Professional on my C: drive. I also have a second hard drive installed, but it is not accessible by Windows, even though I can detect it with Partition Magic and through Control Panel. I have four IDE devices and a floppy drive
Any suggestions for accessing this drive? It is where I stored much of my C: drive files before formatting and installing XP

See if you can see it in Control Panel>AdminTools>Computer Manage>Disk
Manage. If yes try and assign it a drive
letter.

Thanks for the suggestion. I can see the drive in control panel, but the option for assigning a drive letter is grayed out
My C: drive says "system" and the other drive says "active". Not sure I know what that means or if it matters..
Any other ideas??
