I had windows home edition and bought windows
professional. I formatted my hard drive and
after installing professional, it can't find
my video card (mobility radeon 9600) or my
sound card (not sure what kind). What should
I do to fix this?

Since mentioned Mobility, you
must be talking about a notebook.

Most notebook computers use proprietary
device drivers NOT included with XP.

Check the manufacturer's web site.

Does anyone answer these questions? Seeing the replies would really help me
and the rest of these poor folks!

Because this thread is soo old, your newsgroup reader may not have
downloaded the entire thread. The question was answered by a few
people. I can offer my answer to this question too if you need.

ATI Mobility cards are not supported by the regular drivers from ATI's
website. You need to get the drivers from the manufacturer or get the
Omega Drivers from www.omegadriver.net as they have had support for the
mobility cards added to them. For the sound card, download Everest Home
from www.lavalys.com and use that to find out what sound card you have.
It will also give you a link to the latest drivers ;)
