How do I config windows so my C drive will stop when not using the computer.
It runs all time and my XP is real slow --- much slower than when new. I
used desk clean and defrag and the computer is still slow. I have 512 ram
and speed of 1.9 hz.
Something is making the drive run and slow everything down. Any ideas?

If you stop drive WinXP will be even slower when you try and use it. Run
Task Manager and see what is using the CPU time. Download Spybot or Adaware,
your system may be riddled with spyware, especially if you do file sharing.
