Hard Link

Hi, how I can make a hard link so a folder can have two different name in
Windows XP Pro?

Not sure I fully understand what you want (hard link?) but try right
clicking where you want the link- say on the Desktop. New, Shortcut. Put in
the link to the item, then give it a name. Do it all again and give it a
different name. That way you have two links with different names to the
same item.

Michelle, I realise this is a bit late but here goes.

Take a look at NTFSLink it does links and junction (reparse) points as shell
extension (ie point, drag and drop with right mouse button down), and its
free.

Warning for JP's or as I call them wormholes - NTFSLink creates an ADS at
each end of the link, some anti-virus s/w regard all ADS's as virus's.

Also be aware of the challenges hard links, JP's and for that matter ADS's
present to backup/restore.
