Can anyone please help me??? My hard drive is full of cookies relating
to porn sites, before there is a divorce in this household can anyone
please tell me how they got there? I have a husband and son swearing
blind that they do NOT visit porn sites...should I believe them???

You can pu cookies anywhere almost on the internet,usually its because
youre firewall isnt activated,turn on firewall,also set in internet options
the default settings.

It happens.. you can surf to the most innocuous sites and pick up stuff like
that.. deleting cookies is the really easy part..

Open IE6.. TOOLS - INTERNET OPTIONS.. GENERAL tab..

And to save the lives of the two guys in your life.. read on..

Spyware/Adware/Scumware has become a major player in compromising
computers.. they introduce viruses, trojans and worms.. they attempt to send
out information about you, and they also slow your computer down..



Some basic steps to removing Spyware/Adware..



First step is to run a one shot virus remover.. I have found that McAfee
Stinger works for people.. download and run it..

Tell your son to stay off porn sites ( or learn how to clean up his tracks
better).
Feed your husband more and he won't go there either!

The short answer is that you can get cookies from sites without ever having
gone there. In addition to the firewall stuff that someone else suggested,
get a pop up blocker from msn or yahoo.
