R Rich Sep 4, 2004 #3 Install it in a good working XP machine as a Secondary IDE drive. Boot the system. Open Windows Explorer and see if the drive is accessible. You can right click the specific folder, click Properties, (on General tab) click Advanced, and uncheck Compress contents.
