I reinstalled windows xp home in an attempt to fix my internet explorer which was not performing well due to continuous spy/adware and virus problems. There are about 27 gigs taking up space on the harddrive still, and since i've already backed up all the things i wanted to keep from the old version, how do i empty my hard drive? I check the properties of the c: drive and it says there are 27 gigs in use, but checking everything in the windows explorer, i can only account for 2 gb. I appreciate any help.

Be sure to delete the partitions to get rid of all the data:

Is there a way to delete the partitions without having to install windows xp again?
