My laptop has a 30G hard drive. 15G for C drive & 15G for
D drive. I don't use the D drive.

How can I change the setting for 25G on the C drive and
5G on the D drive?

And why does it automatically set it up like this? What
is this D drive for if it's the same hard drive?

Thanks-

Use Partition Magic to resize the drives if you dont wanna lose the data
in C: drive.

i hope that this is the default process of partition
created by setup
(windows nt systems) you might have selected 50 % of C:
and 50% of D: the remaning few space that is 5gb is
configured for storing the partiton information, date time
stamp, and other details like System Volume Information
Hidden folder.

even if you format and re-create partiton and install
windows xp pro again. window we show keep shuch format's
for it self . No need to worry not at serious issue...
