Hi all,
I have an XP machine with a 20GB drive in it which is reporting less than
1GB of free space. However when I do a check on what is actually stored on
the drive, it tells me there is only just over 9GB of stuff stored on it. I
have enabled viewing of hidden and system files, so it is showing me
everything. The only thing I can think of is that there is a truckload of
stuff being stored in the System Information Folder on that drive. If anyone
knows what and where Windows is storing all this extra crap, please let me
know whow I can get rid of it to free up space on my machine. Oh, and my
macine is set up in a workgroup (not domain) mode so I do not have access to
all the neat file and user security normally afforded a domain (so no present
way to break into the System Information Folder to kill it's contents).
Thanks Stephen
