I had a hard disk crash and I had a pst file saved
recently in a CD. I am in the process of reinstalling MS
Office and now I would like to bring my old settings and
contacts/etc from that pst file I have...How do I do it??

Please help me out here and/or email me at
(e-mail address removed).

Greatly appreciate your help.

No, the OP will need to copy the .pst file to the hard drive and remove the
read-only attribute. Then use File->Open->Outlook Data File.

After scratching one's head,

| Go File/Open? Personal Folders File(PST) and browse to it!

How do I remove the read-only attribute??

I am assuming I copy the pst file anywhere in my hard
drive before I open it up.....or do I have to copy it to
a specific folder (if yes, which one?)

Thank you so much Milly for your help, it is very
appreciated.
