Hangs and safe mode outlook 2003

I receive one message then outlook hangs. I have to end program and then
when I reopen it asks me to open in safe mode
 
Hi frustrated,
please open OL in the save mode.
Close it and restart Outlook.
If it wont help, please
go on HELP | DETECT and REPAIR
