hanging - won't start

I went away from my PC for a few hours last night. When I
came back I found that Outlook would not load properly.
It starts to load and then just hangs there frozen. I
have to shut it down using the Task Manager. I am running
Windows 98 with MS Outlook. Please advise and help, help,
help!

First, try running it in safe mode (i.e., click Start>Run and enter
"outlook.exe /safe" in the Open box). If that doesn't work, try deleting
the outcmd.dat file in your Windows profile (not mail profile) folder tree.
