Hang up while Microsoft starting

After installing new memory upgrade, am having long hangup while
Windows loading file wmiprvse.exe . I googled this file name and came
up with lots of opinions. Am running Bit Defender 10 as well as using
Registry Mechanic.
ANy ideas? Pull out new memory and replace with old?

If you are sure all RAM modules are compatible with each other, run
memtest86 from a diskette or bootable CD.
