Hand Tweaked Assembly Language??

Can this be accomplished by simply hand tweaking the generated CIL (Common
Intermediate Language)?
 
You can write IL "by hand" and compile it with ILASM.EXE
Is there a particular rationale for this, or are you just "experimenting"?
