Halo Probems

I recently bought Halo: Combat Evolved. But I seem to be having some issues.
Whenever I try to change video settings it reboots my system. I have an AMD
XP2600 Asus a7v8x-x mobo, 512ddr Ram, and a Ati 9200 128 graphics card, I've
reinstalled the game twice with no luck, I've also downloaded the update and
still no luck. I have also download new drivers for video card ,
motherboard, and anything else that I could think of. Just hoping their is
something I might be missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the refresh rate setting of your monitor. You could
be using a resolution with too high refresh rate (it
shouldn't reboot but worth checking).

Well I tried Ati's new drivers and now I get random restarts. So if your
using an ati 9200 128mb say away lol. Also noticed some other problems with
some of my other games.
