Halo newsgroups?

Hi folks,
Some while back I was told about a Halo game newsgroup, a Microsoft ng.
I haven't found it yet, can someone point me to it please?

I have Halo PC retail, I recently downloaded the Halo CE and HEK, and
would love to get some kinds of mods going, but need to be able to
interact with others who are modding! :)

There's microsoft.public.xbox.halo (which get's used for Windows too).

alt.games.halo (you'll have to see if your news server carries it).

And of course http://www.bungie.net/forums/ which has the largest group of
users I've come across.

Yeah it does Paul, thanks! I'll probably end up registering over at
Bungie. And I'll try to get Roadrunner to pick up a.g.halo too :)

Hi Chris! I recall it being you that told me about getting into a
particular forum, and I've lost that. Had a mobo go south on me, just
getting up to speed again from that. And now, finally, some editing
tools for Halo! Yaaaay! This will keep me busy for some time to come
:)

Thanks Bill, I've put in an add-ng request to my ISP for a.g.halo. They
don't have it yet. I expect with the release of Halo CE and the HEK
that ng stands to get a little busier :)

I believe (memory fails, McGrandpa) it was the microsoft.public.xbox.halo
newsgroups on the msnews.microsoft.com news server. They talk about both
the PC and Xbox versions there. Pretty helpful people. The msnews server
doesn't require a password or logon, and is available to anyone, no matter
the ISP.

Halo is multiplayer. Halo CE and HEK are moddable Halo multiplayer :)

Ok, I got it in and a list of their ng's, and subbed to the single halo
ng too. :)

That's Microsoft's server farm, McGrandpa. All Microsoft's newsgroups are
hosted there and proliferate to the other NNTP servers around the world. Of
course, all those others, whether a GigaNews subscription feed furnished by
a user's ISP or otherwise, also feed to the msnews.microsoft.com servers.
