Halo bogging down.

I have a Dell Inspiron 5150, P4 3.06Ghz,1GB Ram, NVidia GeForce FX Go5200 64mb video card. The game loaded fine and the initial scenes run fine, but as soon as you hit some action the game slows almost to a stop. I have tried adjusting the video settings, like resolution and shutting down some of the graphics, but no luck. I cannot change the refresh rate from 60 mhz. I am currently using the forceware 56.56 drivers. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I would love to actually play halo. Thanks, Jef
