Quite some time ago, I locked I used Grop Policies to lock
down dome computers fairly tight. So much so, that even
administrators cannot installor uninstall programs. I
cannot open the MMC to attempt to change the Security
Template on the local workstation. I am stuck and need
your help, any sugestions you can provide would be gratly
appreciated. Thank you. -KPAB.

You can try to run a secedit command to reset the default security on this
box:

Windows 2000 Professional
-------------------------

secedit /configure /db basicwk.sdb /cfg basicwk.inf /log basicwk.log
/verbose

Windows 2000 Server (not a domain controller)
-------------------

secedit /configure /db basicsv.sdb /cfg basicsv.inf /log basicsv.log
/verbose

Windows 2000 (Domain Controller)
------------------

secedit /configure /db basicdc.sdb /cfg basicdc.inf /log basicdc.log
/verbose
