Group policy and DNS suffix search list

I have added several domains in this group policy setting,
Administrative Templates\Network\DNS Client\DNS Suffix Search List
but it just doesn't seem to be working. I have many other computer specific
policies working. I have tried with XP and 2000. I have refreshed the group
policy and rebooted several times.

I assume I should see the domains I have added by running ipconfig /all, but
I still only see the ones automatically assigned by active directory. No
errors in the event log on the client machines.

Any ideas?

Slight addition. It seems to work on XP now, but not 2000. Does this feature
work on 2000?
