Greek Fonts

Hello
I have problems displaying greek fonts with some programs eg. web-design
products. When I am typing they appear correctly but when I ask for them to
be displayed in the program I get the "?" character?
Can anyone help on this matter?

Do you have Greek fonts installed? It sounds like you need to get some
Greek fonts and install them on your machine.

The greek fonts are installed OK. They appear OK on the date in the downright
corner and on all Microsoft programs (word, excel...). I am afraid that this
is not the answer. Thanks for the tip anyway!
 
You have to carify it a bit more, where do you actually see the "??" in the
programs interface or on a web page you are making?
 
Some design programs, e.g QuarkXpress, also, I think Freehand etc. do not
support Open Type and Unicode. This means if you input Greek in say Word on
a Win XP platform which does support Open Type the text will be fine - try
to export the text to one of these programs and the special characters will
either display as ?? or something different from what you expect. You need
to check with tech. support for the program.

All OpenType fonts will behave the same way. Changing the font to a TrueType
or Type 1 Greek font MAY solve the problem, but don't bet on it
