Hi,

in my XPe build, when opening the "local area connection" properties -
Support Tab
I have a grayed Repair button...
anyone knows how to enable it?

thanks,

YaronM

Hi Yaron. Are you logged into your runtime as an administrator? You will
not be able to use the Repair button if your user account does not have
administrator rights on the machine.

Yaron,

You can try "ipconfig /release", "ipconfig /renew" commands (if ipconfig is included in your image).
I am not sure it is going to work for a limited user. But you can always runas the commands under administrator.

thanks for your reply,

you're right, I can used the repair button when logged on as administrator.
is there a way to give a limited user the ability to do this?

thanks,

YaronM

If you make your user account a member of the "Power Users" group, that
account can access the Repair button as well, but will not have full
administrator rights on the machine. Normal, limited user accounts cannot
access this functionality.

Hope this helps. =)
