grayed out homepage

When I click on my Internet Explorer icon it takes me to a blank page. I can
type anything in and get to any page, but if I go to Internet options and
try to set my homepage it is grayed out and will not allow me to make any
changes. All it says is blank page.
Can some one tell me where I can make changes within the registry or
wherever. I would like to regain access to it.
Thank in advance.

It may be that something like SPyBot has been installed
at some time which allows you to set the machine so no
one can alter these settings. It is to prevent hijacking
programs. If you have SpyBot or similar still installed
change the settings. Hope this helps

Thank you.
I did not realize that clicking that box meant I would not be able to change
it either, I just don't want it to be hijacked.
Thanks again for the info. It worked like a charm.

That option won't prevent you from being hijacked. It is only to prevent
other users from changing the start page.
