I need to view columns and rows in an exiting spreadsheet that only has the
range of A1:I24. The rest of the area is gray with no column or row
references. I removed page breaks, am viewing in normal mode, removed print
area and I still cannot view the rest of the worksheet. Any ideas?

hi
check to see if rows and columns are hidden.
on the menu bar...
format>row>unhide
format>column>unhide.

hi
then check for color.
if the areas are not hidden then you should be able to click in dark areas
and get a curser outline. can't do that with hidden areas. high light the
areas and set back color to no color.

no, its like nothing exists. looks like print area set then everything else
removed. cleared print area and still nothing comes back. formula in cell
show reference to cell outside of displayed range. i can't get to that cell
to change formula.

hi
rows and columns are hard coded into excel, you cannot increase or decrease
them. so it has to be one or the other. hidden or colored.
if you have a formula that is referencing a cell out side the white area,
the dark area is either hidden or colored. if you cannot click into the dark
area, then it's hidden. after reading my first post i think i left out a
step.
high light the sheet then do format>column>unhide.
high light the sheet by clicking the small square between the a column
header and 1 row header.

Try to unfreeze the window panes WINDOW|UNFREEZE PANES

Or to edit formula in cell, you can use CTRL-G, then type in the reference
for the cell...eg. A1 or B1...to get to cell.
