my computer had been working fine and last night my
display graphics are all garbled. i have the most recent
vid card driver (nvidia 5900)and i even
uninstalled/reinstalled. it was still garbled when re-
booting after uninstalling so this can't be it. i tried
my other monitor and still the same problem. it gets to
the point where i can't see anything on the screen, but it
doesn't go black. any ideas?

thanks.

Hi there.

The reason why I've asked about BOTH antivirus AND XoftSpy is because
spyware and adware aren't considered to ba avirus. For eample they aren't
detected by Norton Antivirus and consequently aren't removed. I've noticed
significant
improvement in my video computer's performance after cleaning it up with
XoftSpy. There are many drawbacks, thought. I had to re-install quite a few
programs AND disconnect that computer from the Internet to keep it clean.
XoftSpy cures your computer, but doesn't protect it from repeated infection
by the same spyware and adware. After cleaning my computer I was getting
same set of bugs on the first
re-boot even without me launching a WEB browser.

To find more information about XoftSpy just use Google. It is one of many
spyware protection programs and probably not the best. Another popular one
is called Spybot. Google on that one too.

thanks for the help. the problem i am having i would
never guess is related to spyware etc. my screen graphics
just keep freaking out and it won't maintain a clear
picture, eventually getting so bad that i can't see
anything on the desktop. i have a brand new vid
card/installed driver.

this happened to me about 2 months ago so i purchased a
new hard drive, installed windows, got a new vid card and
everything's been fine since.

this is weird. i don't even know how to describe in a
search to research articles. thanks again.

no, but i should try that. it boots up in safe mode with
no graphic problems. i'll try that tonite.

thanks.

If it works fine in safe mode, it is not a seating problem, has to be
drivers or some other software interfering. Get rid of all traces of your
old drivers and get new or ones you know used to work.
