After I switch the settings for my graphics adapter (integrated ATI
Radeon IGP 9100), I get a dialog box asking if I want to keep the new
settings. Any way to turn off this off? I have XP SP2 Thanks.

I doubt it. How would your settings get saved? Ask ATI Radeon it sounds
like you're using some of their software.

if you do not select the KEEP option the settings revert back.
only way they have to know you want to keep the new settings.

ATI was no help and said it was an XP issue. No big deal, but this is
a DVR box and having to click on dialog boxes can be a pain.

The objective is to try to prevent the user from Switching to an
UNusable video setting. (course some people find a way around it) You
may use some 3rd party utility (like MultiRes) to force the issue.

Are you talking about changing Screen resolution in Display Properties
(desk.cpl) on the Settings tab?

Where you get a message like this one:

Your desktop has been reconfigured.
Do you want to keep these settings?
Reverting in XX seconds

That is a Windows deal and I do not know how to get rid of it.

DVR, digital video recorder?

DVR = digital video recorder. I am living with this issue since there
doesn't seem to be a way around it. Since I have finished setting up
the DVR, I don't need to mess with the display settings much.

That was going to be my next question, how often do you have to change
settings? ;-)

Keep having fun.
