ive been told to get a graphic card what meets these specs agp
8x/4xmode
agp3 8x interface at 533Mhz any advise on what to buy and where

Any PC store assistant can help you out.

Just make sure you get the details of your PC and take them with you.

A better way, would be download Belarc Adviser [free] and run this. It will
provide a full Inventory of Hardware and Software.

Print this out and take it with you.

By the way, Who told you to get the AGP card and Why?
 
You must know some high grade pc store assistants.. do you keep them hidden
away for personal use only?.. I have yet to meet one that knows the day of
the week and his own Christian name without reference to his/her company
badge.. the only reason these people are not allowed to chew gum during work
hours is because they can't do that and walk at the same time.. :)

How much do you want to spend, how much on board memory, want dual
output, want TV out, want some games included, do you want a brick and
mortar store or internet store? In the car world that would be like
asking "I've been told to get a 4 door car with a v6 engine, what should
I buy and where?"

To which I can only respond. Amen... Pricewatch.com and get what you want
and feel that you need, that's my solution.
