graph lines on blank document

ok, so somehow I managed to make my blank document look like graph paper. The lines only show up in Print Layout, and don't actually print behind my text, but I would like to get rid of them because I sometimes have to send documents as attachments, and it looks crummy. I saw the "BlankDocNotBLank" link, and tried that but it didn't work. Can anyone help me make my blank doc truly blank again?
 
Display the Drawing toolbar. Choose Grid from the Draw menu and clear the
check box for "Display gridlines on screen."

Open up the Drawing Toolbar (View->Toolbars->Drawing
On the Toolbar, press "Draw
On the menu that appears, select "Grid
Uncheck the "Display grid" bo
