Gradient color problem in Powerpoint chart program

I am having a problem with my charts, when I place a one color gradient into
a bar chart (on the bars), it looks great when the chart program is selected,
but once I de-select the chart, the color skips over a little to the left,
leaving a definite white gap between the color and the lined edge of each
bar. Has anyone encountered this problem, or is this strictly a problem with
my machine?

It sounds like you might need to update your display driver. What version of
PowerPoint are you using?

I've had this problem, and the only real fix I know is to ungroup the chart.
(I usually make a copy of the chart, size the original to 5% using
Format/Object, and drag that off the edge of the slide in case I need to get
back to the "real" chart/data for any reason. Then I ungroup the copy.)

I know that MS is aware of this, but I don't recall that there was ever any
fix for it.
