If you mean GrabIt from Shemes.com, it's as free as it ever was - they
began providing their own servers and search engine, which are optional
pay services.

All resources are released on close, no "leaks".

The author is right out front about the fact that the program tends to
monopolize a system when it's processing downloads. This is a very CPU
intensive task and it does it very fast. At any rate, it sure beats the
hell out of BNR2 - the most buggy and poorly functioning program I've
ever seen.
