Quick question, I am applying a GPO to a particular security group. The
group contains machines, for some reason the machines wont realize they are
now apart of that group until I reboot the machine. I dont want to have to
do that, what am I missing, how can I get around this? So in other words,
machines wont get their GPO until I reboot, once I reboot the machine than
realized its part of the security group i just created. I have waited
serveral days after adding a machine to the group and still have the same
issue

A machine has to be rebooted in order for its new Security Token to be
created. I know of no other way round this.

Obviously, an alternative to filtering GPO to specific groups is to apply it
to specific OUs (which contain the Computer Objects). Although, I
understand that filtering is usually necessary, and thus you will probably
have to put up with the reboots...
