Hi

Does anyone know what a gotobutton is (attached to text in word) and more importantly how to remove it!. Any help greatly appreciate

Kind regard

Is it a button or a hyperlink assigned to text? Try right-clicking and
selecting "Remove Hyperlink". If that doesn't work, can you right-click the
button and select "Delete"?

Quoting from Word's help index: GoToButton field... Inserts a jump
command, which helps you view long online documents. When you
double-click the results of a GOTOBUTTON field, Microsoft Word moves the
insertion point to the specified location in the document. Hyperlinks,
which are represented by the HYPERLINK field, are often a better
alternative to the GOTOBUTTON field.

To remove: Place your cursor on the line where the GoToButton is.
Toggle field code display on (Alt+F9). Select the field... looks
something like { GOTOBUTTON destination }. Delete. Toggle field code
display off (Alt+F9).
