Google maps shows a blank map pane

After this month's MS Update, Google Maps shows a blank map pane in IE.

Do you like it like this? If so...WHY?
 
Hi

If this issue came after installing latest updates. Try this:
1. Go to start-->all program-->accessories-->system tools-->system restore.
2. Now click on option whuch says to do system resote...click next
3. Select the date on which your computer and google maps were working fine.
The computer makes some check points and these checkpoints are shown in
highlighted bold dates. click next
4. Click on next again and again and then let the computer restart itself.
After it restarts checkout google maps and other things.

I also have this problem on one laptop but another is OK. Both are XP Pro SP3
fully updated and with IE8.

On the problematic one selecting 'maps' from Google front page brings up
only a blank map with a 'Loading ...' message at top/centre of window. After
10 Secs this changes to 'Still loading ... Slow? Try Basic HTML'.

Clicking on this 'Basic HTML' link then allows sucessful search and map
display.
 
Hi

I guess the issue is with new IE8. Remember when IE7 was launched in 2007,
it had same issues but later on it was fixed....so I guess people should wait
little bit more time before using IE8.
The main reason is many websites were made when IE 8 was not there and may
be they face issues while opening in IE8. I have seen this issue when i was
in Microsoft India. There was a gentleman calling from california and said "
My customer cannot play demo video which is on his company's website." I told
him to remove IE 7 and when he was back with IE 6...everything was fine.

May be my suggestions help you guys....cheers
