Anyway, it's going to significanly hurt Microsoft's Smart Client strategy as
now they can't say as much as they used to say in saying you should use
windows because of it's rich client interface because now you can do "rich
clients" on the web without Windows or .NET.
I mean how many windows apps can even do what Google Maps can do, relevant
feature for relevant feature? None that I know of. Notice how I said
"RELEVANT"
The only thing really left as a selling point for Smart Clients is
"disconnected data" and, heck, I know how do that on the web with DHTML and
a few common sense tricks when I am using my lap top and I am not connected
to anything...
