I just received this email from the grey Olltwit's site, about it's closing:

I'm sorry folks but I think I have no choice but to close Grey Olltwit's
Freeware. I left my wife and children last October to start a new life.
'What a swine!', I hear you cry and to read my wife's version of events
on forum boards etc., you would be forgiven by me for thinking just
this. 'How could I leave my children', well the fact is they are 18, 20
and 22 years old. Yes, my ADHD son Richard (20) has problems but the
irony is that he now receives a lot of help from outside agencies. Help
that we tried to get him for years but was always denied because 'good
old Dad' was there to shoulder the burden. Suffering from depression and
close to ending it all, I decided that I had to do something drastic.
Yes I have hurt my family and I am truly sorry for that but I don't
believe I would be alive today if I hadn't done something like this.

Trouble is, changing your life and feeling a lot better for it, doesn't
pay the bills and I can no longer afford the dedicated servers that my
websites run on. I have yet to find regular work, so I have been trying
to find ways of funding my passion for making programs. Few people click
on the top of the page advertising and even fewer have made a donation
to help. I have been approached to add extra programs in with my
downloads for cash but to be honest I am not too keen on adding anything
in with my programs, though it might be an answer. If anyone can think
of a way of me making enough cash to keep things running then I'm open
to ideas. Should I for instance add a donation button into each program
like SpyBot does? I don't know, I'm really at a loss.

You are very welcome to make a donation by clicking on the link below,
but I cannot guarantee it will prevent me from taking the action of
closure during the next few days.

Best Wishes,

Simon Hensby aka Grey Olltwit

Can't address his pendantics but I believe he was referring to the fact
the quoted post is dated over a year now.
